John Sweeney brings his professional skills to the Carus Books team as Production Coordinator. A graduate of Occidental College in Los Angeles with a B.A. in English and Comparative Literature, he has interned at Blue Book Publishing in San Diego, California, and at the Huntington Library and Botanical Gardens publications department in San Marino, California. By 2012, when John and his wife Nicole moved to Nicole’s hometown —Oglesby, Illinois— he was filming and editing videos professionally. This led to graphic design and video studies at Illinois Central College and then at Illinois State University where John graduated with a B.A. in Graphic Design and Video in 2016. Since then, John has been working professionally in graphic design and advertising and is delighted to now be part of the production process at Carus Books.
